Sync your content calendar to Trello

Each calendar post gets a Trello card that moves across lists from Planned to Published.

Trello authorization (API key and user token)

What it does

Every post on your saved content calendar gets a card on the Trello board you pick, and the card moves between lists as the post goes through drafting, review, approval and publishing.

Wavefront keeps the cards in step with the calendar, and publishing a post marks its card's due date complete.

Before you start

  • Owner role in the Wavefront workspace
  • A Trello board

How to connect Trello

  1. In Wavefront, open Settings → Integrations and choose Connect Trello under Project tools.
  2. Allow Wavefront to read and write your boards on Trello's page.
  3. Pick the board the cards go to.
  4. Choose Sync now, or let it sync on its own.

What it covers

  • One card per calendar post, with the title and calendar date as the due date
  • A description with the format, strategy, keyword, pillar, angle and a link to the post
  • Lists for Planned, Drafting, Ready for review, Approved and Published
  • Labels for the format and the strategy
  • A post removed from the calendar archives its card

Good to know

  • One-way: moving a due date in Trello doesn't move the post, and edits to synced fields are overwritten.
  • Other card fields you add in Trello are left alone.
  • Only the owner who connected Trello can pick the board.
